Today I spent a few hours just getting the clutch/brake pedal out of the car. This was a bigger bear than I imagined it would be. Finally got there though. Pulled the floorboard/firewall matting away and found more mold.
Seriously guys if you’re gonna drill a hole in a car body and then remove what you had through it, Seal that shit back up before you eventually make some one sick.
I do have one more gripe of stuff I found while attempting to get the pedals out. A previous owner decided to bash some of the dash frame with what looks like a punch/screwdriver/hammer or whatever to get the pedals out previously as well. So in order to get this out i had to pull the brake booster back a bit and wedge something in place then I almost had it out of there buuuut… No… This …
was in the way. Incoming sawzall. Nice clean cut and boom pedals fell out no issue.
In other news I stole the tweeters i pulled from the dsm and added them to my little garage stereo setup. actually made a huge difference.
