It’s a sweltering 91 degrees outside and probably slightly hotter than that in the garage. I only managed to get the car in the air today and pulled the wheels off.
Added note: my sears jack finally died today. The fatass S550 mustangs probably finally murdered it the last time I used it and it wouldnt extend further than half way up. So rather than being a typical cheap ass I had to go pick up another jack. I really didn’t want to have to do this because more than a jack I knew I needed to pick up a cherry picker soon for when I pull the motor/transmission out of the car. Oh well… Next up i’m planning on welding up the holes where the previous owner had a roll cage in the car.
Discoveries of the day:
1: Front wheel lugs were barely hand tight
2: Rear wheel lugs were installed by super man himself
3: Spiders love this car
4: Dirt dobbers also loved this car at one point
5: Steering rack is leaking
6: upper control arms on the rear of the car are not factory but are too rusted to keep
OH. also picked up a S90 70mm throttle body today with a mild dent on the inlet, nothing that would affect how it works and wont ever be seen under a silicon coupler.
